About
I got into software sideways. I started out in technical theater, designing lighting and running stage production. Most of that job was setup nobody in the audience ever sees. That led to work as a computer technician integrating systems and servers, and eventually to writing code, which is where I stayed.
That habit stuck. Build it carefully so it holds up once people are actually using it, and keep the messy parts out of sight. These days that mostly means front-end work: interfaces that stay fast and accessible, and code the next person can actually read. I do enough back-end to ship a feature end to end.
